Steve was born on the west coast of British Columbia and migrated to the Kootenays in search of a more rural based life where he could raise his young family. Through a series of serendipitous events, he became reacquainted with his earlier musical roots and began performing his original music along with a variety of traditional tunes.
His musical journey began with folk roots and has traveled through from celtic bands to rock & roll. In addition to his solo work, he has played with friend and mentor Ron MacDougall in the Clan MacDougall and Seanachie bands and with his wife Christine in Two Drink Minimum, Five Easy Pieces, Razzberry Rocket Express and Meaning Seekers.
